Title: Slow Screen Updates w/997c & LakeMaster Chip

I have a 997c with the LakeMaster Chip and the screen updates can be excruciatingly slow. 

Is there anything that can be done to improve the update speed or is it a processor limitation in the 997c?

Hi,
the short answer is no. The main reason HB went from the 997c to the 998c was to add a faster processor/coprocessor to handle the new LakeMaster and Navionics Platinum mapping chips. Staying in the larger map display settings (IE 500ft or larger) on your box will cut down the number of screen refresshes - which should help the problem a little.
