Title: 898SI downimaging issues....
Post by: bishoptf on July 13, 2010, 03:18:05 PM
SO I installed an 898c SI several weeks ago and have been using it more and
more, I have been spending time just going out and using it...So far side
imaging is sharp and easy to make out, however when I try to go over the object
and use down imaging the results have been very poor...my lake is fairly shallow
for most of the lake, avg depth 9-10ft, I did update with the latest s/w from
humminbird...looking for suggestions to help me resolve the down
imaging..Thanks...
 :)

As Robert likes to say.  A picture is worth a thousand words.  Can you post a picture of the screen.  maybe a snapshot.

Sorry about your problem.  I have a 898 and just updated the software.  I saw a marked improvement in my downscan.  Several times I saw bass feeding on schools of shad when using DI.  It was amazing to follow the bass and see them attack a ball of shad.

You may need to reinstall the software.
