Title: Value of Quadrabeam Plus
Post by: Spnb8 on July 02, 2010, 02:00:18 PM
What would the value/usefulness be of installing a Quadrabeam PLus transducer on a Motorguide trolling motor hooked to a 798c SI unit in lieu of the SI transducer that comes with the unit?

I think you would not be happy with the Quad over the SI transducer. I run a quad on  my trolling motor but it is connected to a 787. I helps by knowing what side of the boat they are on. I run mine in Quad beam only.

It has a split display om the bottom that goes out from center and above that a real time 2d sonar display. The bottom display is proportional to the depth, I think. It will show the fish but not tell how deep it is.
