Hello everyone, Does anyone know how I can move points from Garmin GPS to my Humminbird 797?
Thanks

zaccaria,
Here is a great online converter that will allow you to convert your waypoints to and from different formats. You can use this to convert your Garmin waypoints to GPX format, and then import them Humminbird PC. Then you can put them on your SD card and transfer to your Humminbird Unit.
http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/gpsbabel/ (http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/gpsbabel/)
I think GPS Babel will also convert them directly to Humminbird Format and you can save directly to the SD card and transfer to the unit.
Either way should work fine. Mess around with it and see what happens. Just make sure you back up all your files first.
Good Luck,

EasyGPS is free and will connect to the Garmin directly via the USB port. The files can be exported as .gpx files from there; Humminbird PC will combine .gpx track and waypoint files as required to upload them to the HB via SD card.

Thanks to everyone I solved.

So what did you end up doing?

The way I do it is pretty simple. Garmin's MapSource software, which comes free with all of their units AFAIK, has an option to save and import GPX file format. So just build what you want with MapSource and then save it as a GPX file. Then load that on your SD card and your unit automatically pulls it in.
