Auto setting allows the HB to decide what sensitivity is needed. In deep water it will be 20, but less when it's shallow. That's all I set mine to now.

Kevin

I noticed that my SI screen was too dark when I set my SI sensitivity to auto.

So now I set it to 20.  The screen is brighter at the higher setting.

The lake I fish is a strip pit and pretty deep in most spots.  Over 50 ft deep in the middle areas.  But there is one old Strip Pit that has a lot of shallow water too.  It's a good fishing lake as it has a lot of shallow water weed growth and there is a few spots with lots of submerged brush or small trees.

So I like to keep the SI sensitivity set up very high as it helps me to see the screen better in bright sunlight.
