Title: Help, 1197 shuts itself down??

Well, my new dream unit seems to be dead... It was act weird last time out, lagging & what not. Rebooting didn't help. Now when I plug it in, it has a funky boot screen & give the shutting down message in 2 1 gone. The power button is not stuck & make the "click" sound when I press it in the 3 seconds it stays on.

So... What do I do now?

Try checking all your power connections.  Make sure your supply is fully charged and capable of delivering the required voltage.

Techno call HB support tues. am they will get you going.You have a great piece of equipment

Thx for your time guys.

I did call them & I'm sending it in for repair. Test mode shows the power is shorted out, like you're just holding the power button down. It's pretty new, no wear the button & ya feel the textile feedback.

Should have it off tomorrow. I'll report back the turnaround time. They said maybe 2 weeks total.

I do feel a little cheated thou, that I have to pay shipping + insurance ofcourse. Worked hard for that 3 LARGE. Hell, maybe they'll send me some stickers. lol Guess my hobbies will always cost me.

Update: Got a delivery confirmation today. So they got it June 7th.

Hey, got her back & it seems fine so far.... & only took like a week. They got it on the 7th & shipped it the 10th. Pretty fast in my book. ;D

Great news I am sure you will have many years of good service from your 1197.I run 997 on my trolling motor.I am saving now for 1197 on my console. Thanks Gary :) ;)
