Title: Adding a second unit
Post by: fishmanmike on May 14, 2010, 02:56:53 PM
I have the 998c si as my main unit at the drivers console. It is connected to two transducers,(left and right), because of my jet pump.
I would like to add a 788c at the rear of the boat for when I am trolling.
I do not have room to add another transducer.
Can I use the AS Interlink for the gps connection and a US2-W transducer switch to connect the 788c to the system?

Yes you can fishmanmike.
If all you are wanting to do is share the GPS Receiver between both units though you could use the AS-SysLink cable instead of the InterLink.  There are a few advantages to this with the first being lower cost.  Also both units would have the faster GPS refresh rate as well (this could still be accomplished with the InterLink if you also used the SysLink cable).
