Title: simulator mode

will it harm my 1197 to power it up without the transducer or GPS connected? i would like to use the simulator mode in the house.

Nope,....we do this all the time on the bench in the shop.
HB does caution that if you have the transducer extension cable to disconnect at the unit and not the extension to transducer connector.
