Hi
New to this forum so Hey everyone.
At topic says i lost 2d after software update to get down image ,will show bottom but nothing els and my depth reading are wrong ,seems like side or down image works ok.I have read to go back to older software which i will do but don't have much time to tested as work keeps me busy .Does any one have similar problem and they come with solution .Thanks in advance

Welcoe to the forum. Sorry to hear you are having issues. Just so we can log your problem for future troubleshooting, please let me know the specific steps you took to perform the update.
What unit do you have? Did you restore defaults before and after? Did you insert the SD card before or after you powered the unit on? What version software were you upgrading from?
The best way to get it back working properly is going to be to backdate the software and then reinstall the new update. Make sure you have a fresh copy of the software update on your SD card.
With no SD card in the unit, power it on.
Restore the defaults.
Insert the SD card with the update on it.
Follow the prompts. YES you want install new update and NO you dont want to abort.
Screen should flash and update should take about 15-20 seconds.
The unit will reboot
Remove the SD card
Restore the defaults again.

My bad I have 997si ,
Did you restore defaults before and after? I didnt restore defaults as most my settings where same as i got unit,didnt see a reson to change them as unit was working ok for me
Did you insert the SD card before or after you powered the unit on? As unit was off i removed my map card and put sc card with update then power up .
What version software were you upgrading from? Hmm I never update unit untill few days ago, i think it was 4.3 ?

Restoring the defaults is very important! Even if your unit is working normally, this is an integral part of the update process.
Some units do not take the updates if the SD card is inserted before powering the unit on. Humminbird is looking in to this phenomenon but it has occured in only a small percentage of units. I recommend inserting the SD card after you have powered on the unit and restored the defaults.
