I'm thinking of getting a 898c si or a 998c si to pair with my 798c si and I'm curious what comes in the box. GPS antenna? Unit does not have one internal like the 700 series yes??
The new Interference kit come with them? Help a fishin brotha out. :)
Thanks up front. ;D

I would get the 998 if you have the extra $500. I have just installed the 898 myself...love it . I didn't go larger because I was saving money...
They both are very nice units.....take my word for it

Thanks. Yeah the 898 is priced good at the Outlet store.
I believe the 898 and the 998 have the same resolution screens but since the 898 is 1" smaller it has better detail when zooming the image.

If this is the " Outlet " store your talking about, you may want to look at this link.

This is the standard package for the 1197c. Only difference is head unit for 898c, 998c - cable collectors are different but still included.

AWESOME DougV. That's what I'm talking about. Congrat on the new system. ;D
Hey Newkid4si, thanks for that as that's place with a good deal and one of the places I go to look up the items and accessories. I have not ordered from them as I got my thru the hull xducer and y cable from Amazon. Amazon has some good deals when you can find them. ;)
Thanks again!!!!

Newkid advice is great. I just had a horrible experience with the Outlet Store. Would never go there again.

Well everything in that picture minus the manual possibly. My brand new 998c did not come with a manual. They said it was a marketing decision but last I checked marketing wants to spend more money and put more in the box not less lol.

Received my 898c yesterday evening and it came with a CD loaded with the manual. I took it all to work (2nd shift) with the extra power cable and proceeded to go thru the demo and all the menu's of the unit. With the two short trips on the water with my 798c, I was able to understand the system and what I'm seeing much better. If I would have had the extra pwr cord, I bought with the 898c, I would have done the same with the smaller SI unit.
BTW... I bought my unit from BBG Marine Electronics after another "Cheaper" online merchant could not produce the in stock status of the unit. Can't say anything bad about BBG as I called to make sure they had it in stock. Fast and friendly service. Brian is on top of the current status of things, like the Interlink problems and such (backordered till HB knows when!) :'(. Good folks for sure. ;)
