Good evening everyone and thank you for welcoming me into the group. I recently purchased Helix 7 to replace my old 598ci HD that had abandoned me. Since the software of the two instruments is quite similar, I had no major problems configuring and transferring the Navionics maps and my waypoints from one to the other. But... I'm going crazy for a problem that I can't solve: on the old instrument, pressing the GO TO button opened the list of saved W.P. with the various sorting options and then selected the destination; on the new one, if I press GO To it tells me that there are no saved waypoints even though the W.P. are regularly saved. I searched in all the menus and manuals without finding an answer, now I wonder: is it possible that this function is not present on the new instrument?!?!? I hope I explained myself and I thank in advance anyone who wants to give me a hand.
P.S. sorry for my bad English

I will test this from my 1197 to my HELIX 9 G4N and get back to this thread ...

I started this test by having no waypoints in my 1197 or my HELIX 9 G4N ...
I created 5 waypoints on my 1197 … each of those 5 waypoints now show in the 1197 waypoint management Menu …
Pushing the GOTO button on the 1197 it shows “Select waypoint to go to, a “Sort By” selection, and the 5 waypoints I just created ...
Then I exported those 5 waypoints to a blank SD Card (32gb max) ...
I imported those 5 waypoints from the SD Card into my HELIX 9 G4N ...
I created a new waypoint in the HELIX 9 G4N ...
So now in the HELIX 9 G4N waypoint management Menu it shows the 5 waypoints imported from the SD Card (created in the 1197), and 1 waypoint created in the HELIX 9 G4N ...
Starting from a Chart view, when I press the GOTO button, it shows a “Go to Nav data” selection, where I can press the right cursor and the six waypoints are listed (5 from the 1197 and 1 from the HELIX 9 G4N) ...
——
So a couple of things to check ...
1. In the HELIX 7 confirm you have an active GPS acquisition by making the “GPS Diagnostics” view vibisible under the Views tab then cycle thru the views until you see the gos Diagnostics view ...
2. In the HELIX 7 verify there are in fact waypoints in the waypoint management Menu under the Nav tab/Waypoints, Routes, Tracks ...

Hi Rickie and thanks for your reply.
What you describe is exactly what I expected but unfortunately does not happen. For further explanation I attach the screenshots of my Helix 7.
1) Waypoints are regularly created and displayed in waypoint management: photo 1
2) From a Chart view, when I press the GOTO button, it shows a “Go to Nav data” selection,: photo 2
3) When I press the right cursor, it shows: “No saved waypoints available": photo3
Hoping to have explained the problem better, I look forward to hearing from you.

That is definitely an issue that’s not normal ...
I would suggest exporting your Nav data from the HELIX, Format Nav directories under the Setup tab, and Restore Defaults also under the Setup tab ...
Re-import the Nav data from the SD Card and test ...

yes

You might try importing your waypoints into Humminbird PC and look for corrupt waypoints ...
A corrupt waypoint can be no latitude/longitude, characters other than numbers or letters in the Name, or dates that don’t make sense ...
