Title: Share GPS Heading Compass Question
Post by: bbheli on February 22, 2022, 11:15:29 AM
Hello, I installed a Humminbird AS GPS HS at the back of the boat just about over the SI transducer and was running Helix G2 Mega. Recently I upgraded to the Solix G3 and I was thinking that I want to use the Helix for charts so I don't need to take up screen on the Solix or have to switch back and forth. I want the benefit of the compass vs the internal for accurate waypoints and want the heading of the boat to appear on the Helix. Does anyone know if the AS GPS HS be spliced to feed both units. HB tells me that it wont share on the network others say it will. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Thank You

Thank you for the replies however the question that I still have is has anyone done this by simply slicing the compass to each unit?

Thx
