Title: first pictures with my 997c si
Post by: jimf on April 06, 2010, 10:38:18 PM
I took two pictures can anyone tell me if they are good or not ?
You can see on the left side that light shadow I was getting on the side image. It was hitting my elec. motors. The right side is very clear and brigther.
Hopefull the new braket I made with work better.
The one picture has alot of grass starting to grow and the other picture is a flat buttom but I did see a stump and a 1' ledge. This lake is very flat.

Jim,

The scans look excellent.  It would help if you had your readouts visible so we can see also see the speed.  I usually have mine setup:

Depth
Course
Position
Time/Date
Speed

Looks Great!

I don't have to speed thing ing. I didn't get that from humminbird. I just use the GPS speed. I did have chart speed set at  5 still playing with that now and then to find a 50/50 setting.
You can see that light blob in the middler of screen that is my 2 elec. motors you can really see it on the down image. I might of fix that by the new braket. We will see if that works.
I want to see if the left side gets lighter on screen. Right side looks good but there is a light dark shadow on left side.
