Topic: SI transducer on t-motor

Still looking for advisory comments
As I previously posted I am now looking at a 798c SI on the trolling motor with an SI transducer. Another source cautioned me that an SI transducer there would not give me a clear image since the boat would have to be moving around 3 mph. Otherwise there is too much bounce back.

Also, should I have the interlink between the two SI units (998 & 798)?

I can't give advise on the interlink because I only use 1 unit....

I can tell you that I normally slow troll for crappie at 0.2-0.6mph and I get great images....with a chart speed of 1....

It's all about matching your chart speed to your boat speed so that the images are not stretched (chart speed too slow) or squashed (chart speed too fast)....

The only issue with the Xdicer on the TM is the images will skew on the outside edges when you turn the TM,,,
