Title: kicker motor tranducer interference
Post by: liketrolling on April 26, 2015, 06:35:27 PM
I have a new Onix and I get interference when the kicker motor goes over 1.4 mph
most of it is on the 83 k the 200 khz looks ok. with my 998 I did not have this interference.
is their anyway to fix this?
this is a Screen Snapshot.
The top lines are 3 downrigger balls. I'm trolling for Koknanee

That would have to be some mighty thick fishing line liketrolling to show up like that on the DI sonar.  Is your 998 unit and transducer still on the boat?  What difference is there in the location of the transducer for your ONIX unit and for your 998 unit in relationship to the kicker motor?
You can try and rerouting the cable from the transducer further away from the kicker motor.
You can try adjusting the Noise Filter menu.
