1197c SI, 1198c SI & 1199ci HD SI / 1197 and 998 share waypoints?

First, I am a bit slow so please be patient.  My interlink is "flaking out" so I removed my 798 and interlink from the loop.  Purchased a ethernet cable to connect 998 and 1197.  In the shed so far, seem to recognize each other.  So what will I need to do to have them share waypoints?  That is the main need, as I often mark spots at the bow, then later use the helm to travel back to them.  Will just happen like it did on interlink or ?? Thanks

The 4 bolts that hold the MEGA 360 flat bracket to Ultrex are 5/16”-18  ...
The 3 bolts that hold the MEGA 360 triangle clamp bracket to the flat bracket are 1/4”-20  ...
The 2 Allen head screws that tighten the MEGA 360 clamp bracket to the MEGA 360 shaft are 10-32 x 1/2” ...

Solix / Hardware Question Mega 360 on Solix

Recently acquired a used Solix 12 and a Mega 360 (also used). In process of installing them both now. The straight bracket that holds the Mega 360 has two holes in which go two allen wrench hex socket screws 9which were not included with the bracket).  The questions I have, are these two screws 10-32 x 5/8" and are they a fine thread?  Thanks for any and all replies. Hope all have had a Merry Christmas and that the New Year is good to us all.

What about a free version that all can use with recorded sonar data?
Some NZ fishermen do that, helping to clean the ocean from sunken trunks of trees which got into the water as a taifun hits NZ. Those trunks damage their nets.
AI would help a lot for this work.

FWIW I have figured out how (mostly) how to read in the streams for SI Data.

Some of the sources will send you information over TCP while others require a UDP multicast subscription that can be set up using the information broadcast/sent via SLP/SRVCLOC. An initial TCP payload needs to be sent to the units to initiate the broadcast it seems.

Haven't quite figured out how to make use of the data yet though It seems that when the information is streamed via the format of the data is a bit different than .son/.dat files are. (at least where to look for metadata etc).

I've been trying to get at the streams myself and have gotten as far as getting back SLP attribute replies about the various sonar streams but I can't seem to figur eout how to actually get data back from these streams.

The attributes replies include multicastip address as a property but when i open up a socket and bind to the port from the attribute reply, and add the multicast gruop membership with the ip specified,  I don't get any udp packets. Is there another layer/protocol involved with those sonar streams?

Thanks, we might need to figure out how to access those sonar streams. It would be great to get the detection working with HB so I dont have to invest in an imagenex or something else.

And yeah we have good accuracy for detecting derelict vessel, planes, traps, and ropes.
We are working on making it real-time on the boat detection now.

AC does not read son files. It gets sonar streams directly.
Do you have any results of target recognition from recordings?

It depends on your boat speed and of course ping speed what you can see. The lower your speed/ higher the ping speed the more details you get.
These are herrings about 9-10" size from my G4N 9".

Thanks for the water setting. That one I knew about. As I said before, I have had Humminbird sidescan units for over 10 years and I though I was fairly good at using them, but you never stop learning, and as we share our knowledge, we hopefully get the most out of our units.
