Title: Humminbird transducer epoxy
Post by: Funky on April 30, 2011, 04:13:13 PM
Neat little packet, no measuring, easy to mix, no mess, but also no idea what the cure time is... or should be!  ::)  I know it varies with temperature, but can anyone give me a range? I installed a transducer about 6 PM yesterday and put two drop lights in the bilge to help it cure. Now, 20 hours later, it still hasn't completely set.... certainly not wet, but you can still leave an impression in it with your fingernail. Trying to decide how long I wait before I conclude there's problem!  :-\

Don't worry, don't hurry!  If its not completely hard in a week or two, something is wrong. But I guess that in room temperature the drying time should be days, not weeks.

Kimi.. ;)

HI Funky; Everything I have read gives a 15-1hr set time and 2-24 hr cure tine. Call HB tech support, they " MAY " have a answer. Good luck Roddy
