hi all
i just bought a second 798hdsi for the front of my boat i also i have the same 798 in the back. when you go past docks and bridge pilings how do they look on screen is my first question. my front one is kind of fuzzy and display is not as sharp as the front one could the two be messing each other up. i did buy the trolling motor transducer did i have to buy that or could i have used the one in the box also this is what i see most of the time on my screen and i know theres something there

My first guess is that maybe your transducer is not level...could you recheck that issue....

How far away is the boat dock from the boat?  You may consider pulling in the Si Range setting.

Is the boat dock floating or does it have any pilings?

What does the same boat dock look like on your other 798ci HD Si and transducer?  Consider swapping them around to see if the problem follows the unit or stays with the transducer.

It looks like the boat dock in on the right as we also seem to be seeing the shoreline.  I have seen this before on a tilted transducer due to the smallness of the boat and the way we had it loaded..
As with any transducer on any boat it needs to be level...
