Title: Optional Transducer
Post by: salvor6 on May 04, 2014, 09:54:28 AM
I have the 1198c SI and it says "up to 8,000 watts with optional 1Kw transducer." No where does it list a part number for this optional transducer. No even on the Humminbird web site. My local dealer could not find it! Can someone post a part number?

This accessory manual is a little more user friendly  http://www.humminbird.com/uploadedFiles/Content/Category/Support/FAQ/Accessory_resource-Guide_2014_X5.pdf (http://www.humminbird.com/uploadedFiles/Content/Category/Support/FAQ/Accessory_resource-Guide_2014_X5.pdf)       but I don't know which one you need.
I think it needs to be the 50/200khz, but the only ones that say they are 1kw are bronze thu hull transducers.

I don't know if the 710237-1 XNT 9 DB 74 T  does 1kw or not.  I have seen posts where people have used the Airmar P66.

The XTH-9-DB-35-KWT is the 1kW transducer for this.  It is a bronze Thru-Hull 2D 200/50kHz transducer.  This is for the 2D sonar only and not the Si/Di sonar.
