Setting ping rate

Sometime back there was a thread and some questions on ping rates. I cant find the original thread but in regards to ping rates.
You can set ping rates by selecting from the main menu "sonar settings"
On that sub-menu go to "pings per second" and use the cursor key to increase or decrease the pings..

Are you seeing this on your 1197c Si unit while running the 5.500 software?
This would be a new menu that I have not heard about yet…

Propbably refering to the recording Ping Rate.

That's what I was thinking...
The only way that I know of to change the Ping Rate in our units is to set the Lower Range menu to a different setting than it is automatically on.

Yes this is for the recording rate..  Which is what we rely on.  not the screen data but the file created for review external......Chuck
