Hi guys I bought this unit on e-bay and thought I was getting a SI unit but low and behold it is not, so my question to you is. Is there any way I can up grade my programming on the 788c unit to give me the the SI photo like image. If it cost money to up grade that's fine I know I should found out but it was at the last 2 mins of bidding and just reacted

Welcome to the forum.  Sorry to hear that.  There is no way to upgrade the 788 to Side Imaging.  Depending on what you paid, I am sure you want have a problem selling it if you need.  They make a great second unit.
