Title: AS GRP pigtail wiring

Just got an AS GRP GPS receiver for my 898c HD unit.
I was fighting getting NMEA out working while using this receiver, and after using a ohmmeter, I've discovered that the GREEN and WHITE wires on the GRP's pigtail are shorted.  Is this normal?  It's a brand new unit, so I can't see it being from damage... bad from the factory maybe?  Or am I missing something here?
