How Do You Save Data from SD Memory Card ?
« on: April 21, 2012, 09:40:52 PM »
I have looked and googled and can't find anything on how and where to save material from my SD card.  Went out a couple days ago and played with recording images.  Everything went great.  Downloaded Hum Viewer on my PC and was able to view the recordings I took without a problem.  Now the Problem - How do I save these recordings to my PC so I can delete them from the card?  Can't find how to do this.  Can someone point me in the right direction?

thanks, iowafuzz

It is a simple computer process as with any data.

Here is what i suggest:
1) create a file on your computer (something you can identify with like Sonar Recordings.
2) then make a sub file called (use date) or (lake name) or however you want to identify the recording
3) copy the sd card over to the file you created.

reference the link to a fourm explaination.  http://forums.sideimagingsoft.com/index.php?topic=937.0

iowa.  we use a 2g card and that holds a lot of 30 minutes recordings.

During the day if we are on the water all day we will make 5 or 6 recordings and then copy them to the laptop, delete the data on card and start the next reecordings.

I see you have it all figured out now. ;D
Good Job.

Probably a lifetime?   ;D

It will depend on the recordings and if any snapshots or waypoints you send to it..
Generally speaking, you should be fine for a days run.
There are some post on the forum dealing with projected times.
You can use thew search tab at the top to find them.
