I have not purchaseed any additional software and wanted to get y'all's opinion on what is the most bang for the buck. I fish 95 percent inshore but would love a lake and coastal software package if there is a such thing.

I live in coastal ga

I have a year old 898 is hd

I think you will have to get a navionics or lakemaster card.  to my knowledge you cant download mapping software onto a humminbird unit.

Southbound, Navionics offers a card that you can buy and then download all the GA lake and inshore info including up to 3 miles offshore onto it for$99.  I have this card and like it, but you have to have a card reader for you PC to put the data on it.  There is a Lakemaster East Coast card supposed to be coming out this summer as well, but unfortunately, there's no info as to what it covers.
