Title: How do you like your 1198 and 1199 units, any issues?

I am looking to buy a new unit, was thinking 1198 or 1199. I currently have the 998 and I am not happy with the pixilated 2D sonar.  It also has issues with reading the wrong depth when I get a strong return and have a double echo. I just want to make sure these units dont have the same issues before I purchase one and find out the hard way again. Thanks in advance with any feedback you can share.

I guess the main thing I am worried about is the pixilated 2D. Im just curious if these units have the same known issue with there 2D as the 998 does.

The only real difference between the 998 and 1198 is the screen size.

The 1199 has a faster processor, but also has and 800Khz wash out problem that the 98 series doesn't have.

2D should be same on all

Thanks for the info Bob, thats good to know. What series do I need to get to have a non pixilated 2D sonar picture. Ive read this issue came after they added 360 sonar to there existing software. So do I need to get a unit that is not capable of running 360 sonar? So maybe the 859ci HD plain 2D units?
