Title: The wheels are still turning
Post by: Spnb8 on June 27, 2010, 02:33:11 PM
In my last post I indicated a decision to go with a 998c SI at the console and a 788c at the bow with the interlink to show up front waypoints identified by the big unit. My question now is:  would I be better served with a 798c SI at the bow with SI transducer on the t-motor? Also, if I go that route will it be useful to keep the interlink?  :o

I think I've pretty much decided to have Airport Marine in Alabaster, AL do the install. Do any of you folks have any experience with them?

The 798 would be a preference, but it sure would be nice to have the ability to view SI on the bow.  There are quite a few guys who have that very setup.  Maybe we can hear from some of the guys who do have SI units on the bow as to how much they use them.

Sure the Interlink will still be usefull.  You may waypoints you want to navigate to or fish on and it would suck if they were on the bow unit only or vice versa.

Good Luck,

Robert
