Old unit 987C SI
« on: December 19, 2010, 01:26:54 AM »
I would like to know if anyone out there can tell me if my 987C SI will accept and use the XHS-9-HDSI-180-T ttansducer, and if so can my unit be upgraded to utilize the 800 KHZ frequency?

There is no way to upgrade your 987 to be able to use the 800kHz Si sonar frequency maxfli.
If you were to use the XHS-9-HDSi-180-T transducer with your 987 you would only be able to use the 455kHz Si frequency and the 200kHz 2D sonar frequency.

No they do not have a trade-in program for units.

I agree with the two previous posts.
It would be very nice if there was a trade up program.
Car dealers do that and people take advantage of the trade in program.
I would thin the same on sonar units would be in order.

I think the trade-in program is called eBay.
Nearly everything sells there.
