caddeere,
I installed HumminbirdPC 4.1.1 and reproduced the upload data error - null when I had the SD lock tab in the locked position ...

Try saving data to the card again from HBPC with the tab in the up position ~ if the SD lock tab on your card was in the locked position. I couldn't reproduce the export GPS data from the unit error, but I think that was related to a new unit and it being the first time using the function.

PS ~ I noticed that HBPC uses the standard Windows Format program which still had the same settings from the last time I had formatted a drive. If you're still not getting there, you might try formatting the card again and this time click on the "Restore device default" button for another "Voodoo Computer Fix". Then try the HBPC to card, card data to unit and unit to card approach again.
caddeere,
Sorry I didn't go any further with it this morning, but I was short on time.

Greg,
Running Windows Vista Home Basic SP2. I got to the format option in HBPC 4.1.1 by right clicking on the SD card icon ...

I went on to test with a FAT file system and a FAT32 file system ~ with the SD card unlocked and still got the null error. Things got worse from there. I got Java errors trying to open the same file I emailed you before. I made sure I had the latest version of Java. Then uninstalled HBPC 4.1.1 and installed HBPC 3.2.2. I could open the file from there no problem Uninstalled HBPC 3.2.2 and installed HBPC 4.1.1. It still couldn't open the file. Strange as it sounds, it could open a Garmin *.gbd file, but it couldn't open the *.gpx it created when it opened the Garmin file.

I will leave HBPC 4.1.1 installed for a few days in case you have any questions.
