Hi everyone
It s told me that if i use 2 pisces of XHS 9 HDSI 180 T, my 998 csi gives me better images! anyone knows if it is true? if it s true, how long range should i left among these 2 transducers?

Hi ksc!
That's true you can get better horizontal resolution with a longer array. I and SeaRover have constructed such arrays by joining two SI transducers. SeaRover has built entirely new arrays by picking out the elements from two transducers and mounting them in new housings. You can't just line up two transducers because the elements are not allowed to be farther apart than 1/4 of a wavelength. This is about 1 mm at 455 kHz. The transducer housings must be modified by cutting/grinding away material so the SI elements can be positioned no more than a mm apart. Do you mean two transducer, one each right and left?
This constellation is expected to bring a better result, thus will make sense if there are no other suitable mounting option.
