Title: 1197 Depth reading definitely not right

Hi All,
I have a 10 year old 1197 that has served me well. Recently the screens all locked so I up-rebooted the unit more than once but that didn't fix it.

HBird told me to re-format Nav directory and re-set the Default as well by hitting another button I can't remember the name of.

Those moves fixed the problem but depth is completely whacked out. Sometimes it's right sometime not.

Any help greatly appreciated. Running v.6.3.

Try Restore Defaults under the Setup tab one more time  ...

If that doesn’t fix it - test your head unit on another xducer to verify if there may be an xducer problem  ...

Yes I did the 2 re-sets twice before I posted this problem.

Yes trying another 'ducer will be helpful if I can find one.
