I just want to share the mapping card info and waypoints info of one head with the other head and any specific start up procedures. Also how would having 2 gps devices effect the setup?

I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?

The easy answer is: connect both 898c Si units by using the appropriate length AS-EC-XXE cable (the “XX” gets replaced by the cable length]:

Even with an Ethernet connection, the units still will not be able to share the information from a mapping card.  Each unit will have to have its own map card.  The units will be able to share waypoints, sonar and water temperature of you want to set them up to do so.  From here it would be best of you read the Ethernet Installation and Operations Manual.
