Title: My setup's first results:
Post by: Del on June 05, 2011, 08:49:10 AM
Hey guys, finally i've been making first records with my setup and now here are the results. I gently as you guys to comment some of the pictures and explain me some of the results so i'm getting a better idea of what is scanned there. I've made some pics of some sunken boats / canoes and some structure like car tires (i think).

I would like you guys to show me some pics that definatly show:
- fish
- indifferences / echos
- sturcture that you know

Additionally i would like to hear some comments about the quality of the setup and the amount of indifferences / the settings i'm using like contrast and SI stuff. I'm going to increase the setup, next week i'll get an additional battery for the HB device only and some extra isolation for the transducer cable. The transducer is actually placed on the left side of the engine, verry close. If you guys could just comment the results ?

Thanks in advance, and here we go:

I'm seeing the boat, but is that fish in the water column ??

Another boat, still fish there ?

I'm simply confused about the stuff in the water column.

Again the sunken boat/canoe, but what are these "underwater clouds" ?

Here i'm starting to doubt this is fish in the water column... i'm seeing the tree, anything else ?

This is warm water, about +10° Celsius, flowting into the river, a spot that is well known for fish:

I guess this can be anything..:

Sunken boat in a channel, what do you guys think about the size ?

Fish under a bridge ?

Interested in what might that be ? Fish ? If yes, they're not that small, correct ?

Whats that ?

Needed to look twice, but:

Courious about the size this might be, sitting on an edge of the channel in shallow water:

Btw: on my computer screen the Yellowfin playback displays a lot brighter than it's saved now in the pictures, but i noticed that way too late, so the next time there will be the correct colors.

Additionally, can someone please tell me which software to use / or how to take GPS positions from the records ? Yellowfin appears to only show me half of the gps infomations, but i would like to have a comfortable way to export the gps location from objects found on records, which is the best way ?

Humfinder actually seems to crash on my Win7 system so i didnt try it yet. Which software you guys do use for this ?

Greetings,
Del

Humviewer can make waypoints from recordings, or you can make the waypoints from replaying on your fish finder and marking it manually.
