New Install on Minn Kota Terrova???
« on: March 12, 2010, 07:10:53 PM »
Just bought a Minn Kota Terrova with US2. However, I've decided to keep my SI capability on my 798 and mount an external transducer.

My problem is, how do I run the transducer wire to the motor? On my old Motor Guide, I just zip tied them to the shaft. But on the Terrova, the shaft slides down thru the control block. How do you guys attach your transducer wires to these Minn Kota's? Pics would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Big Don

BigDon,
A Texas fisherman that goes by the name of Blackie posted some images of how he rigged his transducer cable for his MK motor.  You will have to join the Yahoo UnOffical Sid Imaging Group web site to see these images:

I’ve also seen where some have used the plastic air hose that self coils and split along the length and pressed the transducer cable inside.  That way when you deploy the TM it stretches outwards and fill coil back when you bring the motor back up.
