Hello all, New to the site and would like some advice. I am currently purchasing a new boat 2001 200sx Skeeter and I want to completely redo the electronics. This is my first boat and I don't know as much as I would like to about SI, but have been reading a ton. I would like an expert to provide me the equipment I would need to have the optimal package. I do plan on buying one 1197 for sure, but wanted to see everything else I would need in order to provide the best use of my electronics. I am also going to have my install done by a professional and have no idea what it costs so if you could include a estimate for that it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance

I have a 788CI on the bow and a 898 si on my console. I also wanted the interlink. I purchased the units through my marine dealer. Installation was $35 per hour. It took 2 hours. You can find the units cheaper elsewhere. However, I already had a problem with the 788ci and my dealer replaced the unit....no charge. He also indicated that if I not happy with the installation, he would make any change at no cost to me. So far, the installation is working fine.
