Topic: 688ciHD and navionics ??

hey guys.  I grabbed a new demo 688 for super cheap a few days ago to use for ice fishing, I was using a sonar only and having GPS is rly nice on the ice.  I see they say no navioncs platinum+ support, but it says hotmaps/gold does work.  I just registered the unit and theres an update, gonna do that when Im back home from the road this weekend.  I quickly popped it in the portable ice base and it looks/works good, but when I popped in my navionics platinum east card from my big units it didnt show any chart detail at all.  My platinum is a hotmaps I beleive and Im wondering if the update fixes this.  Anybody have any ideas?  thanks
