Topic: screen brightness

I previously owned a 998si which was 3 yrs old. Then i purchased a 788hd this year and the difference in screen brightness was huge. I have on order a new 1198si, is the screens on the 1100's brighter now also? I made sure my background brightness was both set the same. The 788 in direct sun was still easy to see, but the old 998 was hard to see.

The 1198 has an LED backlit screen and will be brighter than the old 998.  The new HD 998 should also be brighter.
