Topic: Interlink not seeing GPS or Interlink on Port 1

I'm tyring to setup an Interlink between and 997c (5.840) and a 1198c (5.700) and neither unit sees the GPS and Interlink on Port 1, but both can see it on Port 2.

On the 997c I do have Interlink menu options when connected to port 2.  When I place the 1198c on Port 2, the unit shows the GPS and Interlink connected, but I have no Interlink menu options?

I'm not able to register my new 1198c to check for a newer 5.840 firmware versions at the current time.

I've deleted all my way points, routes, and tracks and connected to the Interlink but retained the data on the 997c which was suppose to send null characters to the Interlink (per a forum topic) but this did not clear up the issue.

I was prompted on the 997c to join and select how I want to connect, but never prompted on the 1198c to join.

If you go to --->  http://www.humminbird.com/Support/ProductRegistration.aspx  <--- you can register your units, both units should be registered together and/or updated as you get new units.

Have not been able to find any updates later then your 5.700

Have you tried connecting the GPS to one of the units and sharing the GPS over interlnk?

You have the most recent software for both your 997 and 1198 units.
