Topic: Solix side imaging problems

So can someone tell me whats going on here? Ive reset the settings to factory, checked power, moved the transducer around and it shows me a darker image on one side and then a fuzzy looking image at other times as in the pictures. Just dont look right to me. Theres nothing obstructing the views of the transducer either that i have checked 🤷‍♂️  i have a tracker pro 175 txw with the stepped hull. The factory location for a transducer is left of the motor at the bottom by the livewell fittings. Should i place it on the right side?

Remove the xducer from the bracket and stick it way down in the water to verify there is nothing on the boat causing an obstruction  ...

If the image is the same - then the xducer may be failing  ...

Gotcha, good idea ill definitely try that. I was wondering also if it could be the location i have it mounted at. as i have it mounted in the stock location of the old transducer that came on the boat from tracker (from what i understand) which is on the lower port side which i find odd why they would do that so ill also try moving it to the starboard side at some point also.
