Topic: Miin Kota from America with European Helix?

Hi,

Is there any difference between a Minn Kota sold in America and one sold in Europe (except huge in price ).

Will the “American” minn kota work in conjunction with the “European” Helix9 G3N?

I mean the model Minn Kota Riptide Terrova 80 w / i-Pilot Link & Bluetooth - 24V

I know the difference with the sonar (the American doesn't show depth in meters).

What could be the problem? According to the catalog number Model: 1363747, it is supposed to be the same product.

It seems that the only difference between the US and International version Humminbird units is some boot code (as noted here http://forums.sideimagingsoft.com/index.php?topic=10444.msg60626#new )

I would think the trolling motors are the same if the part number is the same  ...
