Hello
since I've updated my 1197C SI there are 2 problems with my unit.
1. The right side of sideimaging is not working. There is nothing on the right part of the screen of the sideimage view
2. The sonar part of 83KHZ is also not working. (blank screen is frequency is set to 83khz, 200khz seems to work properly)
What can I do to fix this? I've updated the software with a SD/card. There where no errors with the installation. I tried to reinstall the software but that's not possible and I dont have an old version of the software.
Someone to help me please?
Kind regards
Peter

Allright, that was a little bit to quick from me. ::)
I've found old versions for my unit. I've now downloaded v4.950. I will try to install that version. Is there a way to test the sonar and sideimage without being on the water? My boat is on my trailer and I have ride a while to get the boat into the water.
kind regards

You can run simulator mode, but that does not use the gps or transducer.
You can put the transducer in a bucket of water and play around with that. only problem you are not moving so the gps will not show correctly.
You could drive down the road (have someone pull you) and the gps will work but not the sonar..
Cant think of any thing else..

Okay
I've installed version 4.950 on my unit. Everything went well but the problem keeps. I've put the transducer in a bucket with water and the left sideimage is working but the right side not. Also the sonarview of 83Khz is blank. What can I do to resolve this?
kind regards

Do you have another transdcuer or someones boat you can try your unit on? Its important to know if it the unit or the transducer is causing the issue. If not, check the member map and see if anyone lives near you that you might could meet up with.
You may want to check the pin connections on the transducer connector. Slide it on and off and see if its lose or easily comes off. If so, try bending the pins very slightly outward to see if it helps any. The HB pin connectors are know for getting lose and losing connection.
Good Luck,
Robert
