I've got a 997 & a 798CI. On the 798 when the boats in 5 ft or less, all I get is a screen full of color. And on the 997, the sonar just isn't reading right. I think I did all of this when I set up both units after rescent download updates. So...what should I set both units up for my sonar, side & down imaging? I'd actually like someone to tell me how they set up their units from sensitivity to the correct transducer settings. I fish on a lake that has real clear water if that matters. Thanks.

Wayne...thanks for that website. That's exactly what I've been looking for to help me set up the side/down imaging part of my units...Now I need to find the same type of help for the sonar side of my two units. The more changes and/or adjustments I make using the menu settings for both units...the more the sonar gets screwed up and gives me useless info...So I need to find either a website and/or someone to take me step by step in setting up the sonar side of my units.
