Onix 10 ci SI combo with ulterra
« on: May 25, 2015, 08:54:07 PM »
Hi guys,
Sorry if this has been asked in other posts I've read through and searched but couldn't find anything.  I just got my onix and ulterra rigged up.  There are three connectors on the ulterra the foot peddle connector, the 8 pin connector goes to onix for Ethernet connection, but I can't figure out where the 4 pin connector goes. Am I missing something?

Thanks.
Brian T

I have the same setup. Onix10ciSI and Ulterra IPilot Link. One goes to Onix, One goes to foot pedal, and one goes to a separate control unit for the US2 transducer. I bought an adapter and ran it to console to try just the US2 on my Onix, but haven't tried it yet. I do not think US2 will go thru ethernet or on Y cable.

I have the SI, 360 and XNT1420T hooked to my Onix. That is more than I need to learn for now.

If you have the Ipilot Link with remote, you will not need the foot pedal! It is suhweet 8)

Thanks for the reply RonnieB.  I figured it was for the US2 since I couldn't recognize that on the onix.  I've searched all over humminbird sight and minn kota site but can't find any cable or configuration set ups. I found y cables for thru hull and other transducers but not US2.  I did get out this weekend to play with the set up and you're right it's is sweet. I get to spend time fishing instead of driving. Can't wait to get down to business.

You need the adapter cable for Onix.  I believe it is MKR US2-13.  And it is only $50.  That's about $10 per inch of cable.  What a bargain.
