Mark----Two suggestions on using Humviewer.
My first review of a recording will be in 3-view ( 2D in upper left, boat path in lower left and SI in the right half to the screen).
SI works best if you maintain a straight line heading at a constant speed. I unfortunately struggle with this. If I pass over a target, I find myself doing a 180 for
a second look. If it looks interesting, I may make several other passes from other angles and boat speeds.
If you were only watching the SI view, the info flows from the top to the bottom regardless of the boat direction changes. By watching the boat path in the lower
left, I can remember what I did.
We search for targets attached to the bottom. Some are very hard but don't have much height and are easy to miss.
As LG said by right clicking on a view, you can make changes. In the 2D window, I right click and adjust the depth to just over 2x the actual depth. By doing this
if you pass over something hard you will get a second echo and it is much easier to see.
