how do you record ? and can you take a snap shot without making a waypoint

Make sure you are in advance mode.

Go to the snapshot and recording view screen
Press menu
Select the snapshot if you want a picture
Select start recording if youy want to record
Remember to have a formated SD card in the card slot.
Hint: keep recording to no more than 20 to 30 minutes..
You can make multiple recordings by starting and stopping the record..

Stop recording before taking the card out..

If you have a manual it would be good to read it first.
If you dont download one from hb web site..

No, you cannot make a Screen Snapshot without also marking a waypoint.

Normally I delete all of the waypoints made from making recordings and snapshots at least once a week.  I find this to be a nuisance, but I also understand that some folks need the waypoints because they see something and want to return to the area.  It would be nice if we had a choice.
