to save personal settings & download this setting to a SD card
in case you have to restore factory defaults or get a repair or do a upgrade?

Agreed, this needs to be a base feature as updates are so regular. This would likely reduce the number of folks having problems when upgrading that are not resetting to default settings just because they do not want to loose their settings, then after the upgrade their upgrade was corrupted because they did not reset the settings..

 Bump in case this has hot been addressed in the newest release.  If it has would someone please let me know the menu sequence.

I hate having to go back and rethink how I had it set up, I hardly ever get it back to the optimum settings (for me).

I too just want to chime in and encourage HB to make this happen. I am a new 898 owner and haven't even updated my unit yet, but this is just common sense, really...a practical feature to have.

OK HB this needs to happen like two years ago, make is so ;D also have a way to increase Nav icons, to small to see at speed.
