Hello all,

New to the forum. I just purchased an 899 unit. i would like your opinions on the images below. Are these typical (GOOD) sidescan/downscan images with the compact SI transducer?

sens = 11  looked better than 8-10
Contrast = 8
200hz selected
Chart speed = Boat speed

Your getting there, try slower speed and darker screen. Roddy

While Humviewer is a great tool for learning and ease of manipulating recordings ... It has very different processing of the image data than the unit itself...

Can you post screenshots from the unit itself ...??

(You can even capture screenshots while the recording is playing back on the unit)...

you might want to play little bit with the chart speed... sometimes i get better images when i am about 1 digit more than the boat speed.
