Title: Saving to SD Card
Post by: jims38305 on August 28, 2016, 03:28:26 PM
I am new to the 1197.  I have a 4 gig SD card in the slot next to my Lake Master Maps Card...When I am out fishing and riding around the lake...how to I same my information to the SD card for looking at on my computer with my Humminbird PC Software?  What do I turn on, do I have to save anyhing and do I have to down load to the card or is it automatically done for you.

Also i would like to record my SI to review later, if that is possible.

Thanks,

Humminbird PC is waypoint management software....It's not for viewing recordings....It's a good idea to "export Nav data" and bring it into HB PC for backing up and editing your waypoints.

You would want to download Humviewer, Yellowfin, or some other third party software to view recordings off the water.

You can also turn snapshots on and take a snapshot when you mark a waypoint.

There is an old turorial about recordins and snapshots over here, but it is still applicable.   http://forums.sideimagingsoft.com/index.php?topic=738.0 (http://forums.sideimagingsoft.com/index.php?topic=738.0)
