Title: 1197c sonar image is "pixelated", coarse pixels

downloaded 6.640 software to my 1197c unit, followed instructions. now sonar image is "pixelated"...coarse pixels, not a smooth detailed image. GPS map image is fine.
Any thoughts as to settings or what to do?

I would suggest setting your scroll rate to 1.....for the 2d sonar...thats what i had to do to get rid of mine.

Yep.

I testing my 1197 with 6.640.  I have to use chart-speeds of 1-2 or 2D pixelates.  SI becomes blurry also.

I am relatively new to the Humminbird units. I purchased a boat in Feb of this year that had 1197c at the console with a 798 on the trolling motor. I wanted to get the most out of the unit so I went to Humminbird and registered the unit and downloaded the latest update (the unit had never been updated since new). However, now I have a very blurry "pixelated" 2d sonar. The SI is also distorted ore than it was prior to the update. I have read on here some of you have the same issue. Is there anything that I can do other than reduce my chart speed? Could I download  a previous update? If so where can I download it? The software version on my 1197 is 6.64. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Mine also is at 6.310...

And it's a shame too because I can't use my AS GPS HS antenna with 6.310...

im running the version before 6.640 on my 1198 on the bow cause it runs my gps with heading sensor.  a couple of fish catches from yesterday

The 1197 is way different than the 1198, slower processor, different operating system, etc.
