Title: Views while you record
Post by: Turk on May 12, 2012, 09:56:36 AM
When you are recording is it possible to view what you are recording?  I purchased my 898c si in March and have only recorded three times and all three time during the recording I am stuck on the recording screen.  Can you switch screens to observe what you are recording?  It would make since that you would be able to view what you are recording so you know when to stop or if you are recording what you wanted to record.  I have searched the site but can't find anything on the subject.  This site has so much information, without it I would be completely lost.  Thanks a lot.

Usually, when you start recoding, there is a message displayed on your
screen, something like 'Waypoint created, recoding started'.
The screen will be held until you press the exit key to clear the message.
Then, you can press the View key to see the other screens.

While recording, you should be able to see all of your screens.
While recoding, 'Recording' will be periodically displayed at the top of the screens.

If you press the menu key on any of the screens (while recording), you should see an option
to stop recording.

Good Luck.

I got it to work.   Thanks a lot.   Not sure what I was doing wrong?  I must have been waiting to long to hit the exit key.
