Here are the download links for the YellowFin software. The first link is to YellowFin 1.09c. The second is a link to the new update that will add some features to 1.09 like marking events/waypoints.

I think your YellowFin software is great and all of us appreciate your work.
As you would expect, we always want more, it has been many years since I have written software from scratch and at 65, I am not sure I have the patience nor the ability to do it any more, everything is much more sophisticated today. Frankly I do not even know how to start.
I have read on another site that there is a way to see the down looking sonar by renaming the files but I could not get it to work.
What I would like to see is software were we can look at the down looking sonar at the same time as we view the Side Imaging. This would be a great help in understanding what we are seeing. Since HB has all of the source codes for all of their units, it is a shame that they have not written the software to mimic their units.
-
I am working on a version that will simultaneously display side imaging and 2D sonar.
No promises as to when, but its in the works.

Robert,
Because this software does not it recognize files *.xtf?
The originals were converted by the software Son2Xtf.
Thankful,
Calil

does Yellowfin recognize .xtf converted file from humminbird? I get the error message "not an imagenex yellowfin.exe recorded file". do I need to do something else for yellowfin to display a humminbird file. or is yellowfin expressly for yellowfin products. chuck
-
No, it will not play the Humminbird XTF files. The Yellowfin XTF has a set number of datapoints per ping and the Humminbird does not. You will need to use the HBSI converter to get your Humminbird files into Yellowfin.

Hello,
New to the forum. I tried to download the original yellowfin download but the link is broken. It directs me to the imaginex website but cannot download it there. Is the software not free anymore? If that is the case so be it. If not could you please re-link the file so that I can download it?
Thanks,
FYI – Great website. I got my 997 unit as a Xmas present from the wife. Did not want to wait on the 998 as I got it at a deep discount and the extra features probably will not warrant the additional cash. I also got the platinum maps as they were deeply discounted as well. The extra features are nice but probably will not use them on a regular basis. I read the manual but this site has helped me get up to speed with the unit much faster than the manual alone. Hope to be able to add value to the site in the near future.
-
welcome to the forum., FYI you can go to the humminbird web sight and down load the manuel. All you have to do is register your unit with them. You will need the serial number..... That's how we can stay updated with the latest manuel for software updates..... good luck and welcome to side scanning!

YellowFin
v2.013
Contact Imagenex

I contacted the company and they asked me for a serial number for my product. Is there a way someone could send me the exe file directly for the yellowfin software or relink the file to this site?
-
Yeah, I would not contact them and say you are using their software for another side scan. We have been fortunate that they posted the older versions for free.
I will try to find out what happened to the link and get it working again.

Thanks

The YellowFin 1.09c link has been fixed in this section and the download section. Apparently Imagenex took the 1.09c download off their site.
Also added a new update to bring YellowFin up to version 2.011. Download and read the README file.

I tried to download the yellowfin 2.011 update after downloading the first two files. All that happens is that I am taken to the login page, I login, try the download once again and it takes me back to the login page. Just got my 997CSI a week ago and would like to play with it a bit before taking it out.(Lucky me, only 4 more months before the ice is off of my lake). Any ideas?
Thanks

stillbear,
you need to open it up and extract the files to a new folder. Then go to that folder and click on setup. This should go through the install process.

Download the HBSI converter on this forum. Chuck
